A mega-classic from Zenity: the 1960s Defy with its original Gay Freres stainless band.
Check out the satin-white dial with those slashing hands and the date window at the 4.
The signature octagonal case is 37mm wide, excluding the signed, screw-down crown, by 44mm from lug to lug. A few scratches and minor dings throughout, nothing major, nothing to detract from the immense appeal of this classic.
The dial also has a hint of discoloration around the middle and toward the 7 and 8 markers, again, nothing major.
The stainless steel Gay Freres band is in very good condition, with some dings on the on the clasping mechanism, but otherwise clean. It easily fits a 7.5 inch wrist.
The 25-jewel automatic movement caliber 2552 PC, keeps excellent time.
The Defy is one of those impossibly beautiful watches that can never be duplicated. Strap it on. Watch heads turn.
